My windshield seems to have two visible areas, the one swept by the wipers and all the rest. You can clearly see them when you look across it at an angle. I've never been able to really clean the glass so that it is the same overall. I found this video and it seems to be the OCD Guide to Cleaning Glass, but I want to give it a try. Being able to see well, especially in bad weather, is critical to safe driving.

There're quite a few accidents daily in Vancouver, pedestrians being hit. Just last night, someone was hit in New West and they had to close Stewardson Way. Its crazy the way people walk here. With the start of better cycling weather in BC, this is something to keep in mind here too.

Australia's Transport Accident Commission in Victoria state has published The Cell, an anti-drugged driving video that is part of a TV advertising campaign there. In their typically hard hitting style the video shows a young male driver taking drugs at a party and the consequences of that choice on the drive home afterward.
