I was stopped when riding across Georgia Street on my bike, heading north on Nicola Street, in Vancouver, by a traffic cop who said I had to wait for the pedestrian walk signal.
This intersection has traffic lights on Georgia and stop signs on Nicola.
According to the introduction, this package details key evidence-based measures identified by many of the world’s leading road safety experts and their agencies as those most likely to impact road traffic deaths and injuries in the short and long term. They relate to: speed management, infrastructure design, vehicle safety, laws and their enforcement, emergency post-crash care and leadership on road safety.
My spouse and I recently moved back to BC. He had a pending Driving Prohibition that had not been acknowledged since 2013. He was an N driver and was prohibited due to unsastisfactory driving record.
At the end of July he went into ICBC after finding out while trying to switch his license over and acknowledged the suspension.
Yes, it's time to consider going back to school again this year. Will it be safe for our children to go to and from school each day?
Somewhere in British Columbia an unsafe situation will be identified and someone will try to do something about it. Understanding what traffic engineers will consider may significantly increase the chances of successfully implementing a change.
Problems with vehicles can range from overdue maintenance to modifications that may be described as fashion over function. Responsibility for their correction rests principally with the owner and driver. When that fails, it now falls to the police and designated inspection facilities to either nudge or force correction. Depending on the severity of the defects, remedies can range from a simple reminder to a tow truck and seizure of the vehicle license and number plates.

More and more often when I drive on a busy highway I'm finding much of the traffic jammed into the left lane, each driver trying unsuccessfully to get ahead of the others. One would think that this situation would be akin to being the proverbial kid in the candy store for anyone in traffic law enforcement, violations everywhere! Slower traffic failing to keep right, following too closely, unsafe lane change, cross single solid line, failing to signal lane change and, depending on your point of view, the root cause of much of this: attempting to exceed the speed limit.

One of the most recent items for discussion in an RV forum that I belong to was the issue of leaving your engine running while refuelling.
The owners with diesels say because of the low flash point of diesel that they never shut their engines off because they need to cool their turbo.
