There are many different types of vehicle manufactured today in many different models and colours with a host of accessories to make your ride just right for you. For some of us, this just isn't enough and we want to modify our vehicles to suit our personalities and desires. Some of these vehicle modifications are unique and permitted by law, but some are unsafe and will put you in conflict with vehicle safety rules.

I live on rural road in northern BC. The road has a speed limit of 80 kph. It is paved (seal coated), forested, winding with steep gradients, has steep drop-offs, has no lane markings, no pedestrian walkways, has lots of deer, elk, moose and bear crossing and has many hidden residential entrances.

Richard Kaiser was ticketed for failing to slow while passing a police car while that car’s emergency lights were activated. I purchased a 30 year old motorcycle. The previous owner had no registration as he used it off road. I ran the VIN through CPIC and it produced no history of being stolen. What steps do I take to obtain registration papers?

Hello.. I have a wee question that your experience might be able to offer some perspective for? I received a traffic citation for failing to obey an officer.

I just want to know in order to get commercial driver's license In bc how much driving experience you need.

Consider the simple traffic sign or signal.  It stands by the side of the highway doing it’s job regardless of the season.  We rely on it to tell us when to stop, how fast to go, which way to turn or whether we can travel in a certain direction as well as many other controlling functions. This is a reliance that we might not consider until we run into trouble because it is lacking.

(1)  what happens if you are the 2nd car in line stopped at a red light for instance, and a 3rd car rear ends you pushing you into the car in front?  Can you be charged for rear-ending the 1st car in line even though you weren't moving?  

Perhaps you can comment about the bad habit of so many drivers following too close to the car in front of them. In order to combat this I have decided that, if I am unable to actually see the licence plate on the car following me in my rear view mirror, I activate my four way flashers.
