Q&A - LSM in Bike Lanes

motorcycleI have a 49cc gas scooter. Its top speed is only 50kph, so I try to stay in the bicycle lane if traffic is heavy. I have searched drivesafebc.ca and ICBC but cannot find articles on whether this is legal.

If I was riding in the bike lane and was in an accident with a vehicle that made a right hand turn in front of me, who would be at fault?

Q&A - Should the Pedestrian Have Waited?

I pulled up to a crosswalk and a stop sign where there were pedestrians crossing. I came to a stop and let them go. after when there were no more pedestrians in sight I moved forward to see the traffic to ensure it was safe for me to go through the intersection (2-way stop).

As I pulled up a surge of traffic came and I was unable to proceed, which stopped me in the crosswalk.

Q&A - Headlight Chameleon Tint

Q&A ImageI saw a car with chameleon headlight tint. Apparently it's a super clear transparent film pretty much like 90% transparent...maybe more??? ...with just pigments. The pigments make it have that look where you see a puddle of oil/water on the ground and it has that rainbow effect. I know it's bad to have tail lights blacked out as it can make it harder to see you braking...but what about these headlight film that is almost clear?

Q&A - Imperial Parking Ticket

Q&A ImageI took my brother who holds a valid handicap parking pass to his eye care appointment at 550 W. Broadway, Vancouver, BC and had it displayed on my windshield - he is unable to currently drive so I offered to take him and paid over $10.00 in parking fees only to return to my vehicle to find a ticket for either $80.00 or $60 if paid within 7 days.

Q&A - Temporary Student in BC

Q&A ImageI am an international student (ESL) and have a driver's license in my country. I'm already studying in Canada for 6 months and have 6 more to go. My school is not listed in the designated schools that allow me drive during the course duration.

I asked the ICBC what are the consequences of me being caught driving in this situation and they answered me that depend on the police who will stop me.

Q&A - Booster Seat in a Motorhome

Q&A ImageWe are going on a drive through Canada and the US in a large motorhome that only has shoulder strap seatbelts for the driver and co-pilot. All other seatbelts are lap-belts only. My 7-year-old son requires a booster seat when we are in the car, but what do we do in the RV? Front seat? Back seat with booster? Back seat without booster?
